Dropping Assets Into UDK

Finally dropping assets into the Unreal Engine. I've been studying on how the Material network works. It was pretty intimidating, but I've got to say, Waylon Brinck did an excellent job explaining the basics in his Gnomon video. Above is a test I did using a few of the assets I've completed. The wall and floor textures are some I've found preloaded in Unreal and used for placeholders until I've got my own custom ones. I'm very excited to finally see some of the pieces coming together.

This is a list of current assets that are being worked on. I'm focusing on getting the characters done and ready to drop into the game space, once I'm happy with them I'm going to focus more on building the environmental details.

Finally some movement on these! Sorry for the low quality. Had to compress the video quite a bit just to get it to upload. This is the idle animation for the Shriever. I'll be posting more. Still working out the best way to get them to upload.

Sorry no animation today.

I've got some animation done for the Shriever, however blogger has decided that it does not like my video files at this time. I'll post some videos as soon as the issue is resolved. Until then I'll be in the animation assembly line.

Here's another monster, all textured and ready to rig. This one's going to act as a light source during gameplay. The player will have to navigate a dark area with several obstacles, and this creature will be their only light source.
Here's the low poly model of the player character. No texture yet on this one.
Making progress. I've got the low poly's for both the Illuminator and the player character all settled in, only need to texture the player now. And animation is finally underway. As for the building of the games level, that has to be started, however the assets are coming along nicely. Will post more later.
